Fishing and sightseeing trip in Central Mongolia

Every day:  Breakfast 08.00am,  coffee/snack10.30 am , Picnic lunch 1.00 pm ,  coffee/snack  3.00pm, 6.30-7.00 pm dinner
Every day fishing to new spots  by car and someday drift fishing at big river.
Day 1: Arrival at Ulaanbaatar /UB/, the capital of Mongolia. Hotel check-in and sightseeing UB. Shopping and museum visit. Dinner in a restaurant.

Day 2: After breakfast drive to Ger tourist camp in Tariat village, Arkhangai province /480 km asphalt / B+L+D

On the road, we visit the Elsen tasarkhai -Sand dunes. Picnic lunch

The Gobi-type area with huge sand dunes in the morning. There is an opportunity for a camel ride trial through the sand dunes. Elsen tasarkhai is a unique place combining the Gobi desert, mountain steppe, and high mountains within a single area.

Taikhar Rock is located in the village of Ikh Tamir, south the Khoid Tamir River. It’s a big 20-metres (66 feet) high granite rock, The most famous legend bound to Taikhar rock tells that Bukhbilegt, a giant warrior, threw this rock on a snake that was coming out from the land, which explains its strange presence in this place.

Another local legend tells that this rock symbolizes the love of two unfortunate lovers. Tamir loved a girl, Taikhar, but the local lord, who wanted to marry the beautiful Taikhar, prevented their love. So the girl ran away towards the river and her lover sat near the river to wait for her to come back. But the wait was endless and Tamir ended up becoming a rock, standing along the river for eternity, with no possibility ever to meet up with his love again.

Day 3: After breakfast drive to tourist camp in Tariat soum, Arkhangai province /170 km asphalt / B+L+D   nice place: River-Canyon. Overnight in Tourist Camp .B+L+D

   

GB-tours Mongolia is making a fishing contract to the Governor of the local administration. Visit the Inspector and get a fishing permit.

After lunch, half-day fishing the river.

 Day 4.5.6.7 : Fishing at river / 2-3 different river and lake/  Picnic lunch    B+L+D   Visit to the herders family and photographing nature and Yaks

Day 8: Fishing at big river. Picnic lunch B+L+D

Day 9:  Drive back to Kharakhorum town. /260 km/   Overnight in  Tourist camp  . B+L+D   Visit to the ancient monastery “Erdenezuu” and sightseeing town area.

Karakorum, formerly known as Karakorum, was once a capital of Chinggis Khan’s Great Mongol Empire in the 13th century. After the move of Mongolian capital to Beijing, and the fall of the empire, Karakorum was abandoned and then destroyed by vengeful Manchurian soldiers in 1388. Today, in the wide valley of the Orkhon River, awe-inspiring ancient monastery “Erdenezuu” coexists with Karakorum town. See some valuable religious items in the monastery museum and admire its stunning architecture.

Day 10 :  Full day fishing at  river. Picnic lunch  B+L+D. Overnight in Tourist camp

Day 11 :  After breakfast drive to UB city.   Check in hotel… Lunch and rest. Feedback and opinion sharing on the trip / Party.

Day 12 : Flight from UB city   +B

Services included in the price: 

  • Hotel charge of 2 nights /2 person in 1 room/ in UB city.

  • Tourist Ger camp: Shared accommodation in tourist Ger camp (traditional dwelling) has 2 to 4 beds – very interesting and unique Western toilets and hot shower facility is separate block – shared

  • The restaurant serve usually Western and Mongolian meals

  • All meals: meals as listed in the itinerary Finest Western and Mongolian meals. Daily supply of bottled water: 3 x 0.5 bottle per day and Hot coffee/tea

  • Air conditioned and comfortable Lexus 470, Land Cruiser 100

  • Airports pick up and drop off service.

  • Guides: English, German, Japanese, Korean, Chinese speaking guide service

  • Fishing guide

  • Fishing License

  • Entrance fees: To all scenic spots as listed in the itinerary such as museums, monasteries, strictly protected areas, parks, concert, road fees.

  • Horse Ride – 1 hour, Camel Ride – 1 hour

  • Invitation letter for entry visa to Mongolia

  • Wi-Fi service

Services not included in the price:

  • International airfare or train tickets

  • Personal expenses: Such as laundry, alcoholic drinks, telephone calls, optional activities, sightseeing or meals which are not included in the tour itinerary.
