Trip itinerary
Duration: 10 days/9 nights
Day 1. Arrive in UB, Mongolia
Transfer to the hotel. On the first day of your travels, you will be visiting the Museums and Gandan monastery. After Dinner, you have a big chance to enjoy National Folklore Concert and overnight in the hotel. (L+D)
Day 2.Drive to the Uran tourist camp in Bulgan provinceThe Uran tourist camp is located near Uran-Uul which is an extinct volcano on the western side of Uran-Togoo Tulga Uul Natural Monument in Bulgan province, 80 km west of Bulgan town. Uran means “Artistic”, Mongols named it so because its ridge of the crater is one of many examples of circles that arise in nature resembled a nice creature of a craftsman. Day 4-5: Visiting a reindeer family and boating in Khuvsgul lake
Early in the morning, we will drive to Tsaatan (reindeer) family for experiencing the lifestyle of taiga forest people. If you want to hike around the mountains, you will see the brilliant view of the lake. In the evening we will have free time for taking photos and do some fishing there. Today we may do various activities such as swimming, horseback riding, and boating in the lake. You may as well as lake around by the vast blue expanse of the lake. Day 6: Urantogoo mountain.
After having breakfast, we will drive to the mountain called Uran-togoo which is an extinct volcano which is another attractive destination of northern Mongolia which located about 60 km`s from Bulgan city. The area is situated in the Khutag-Undur district of Bulgan province. Overnight in a Mongolian ger camp. B+L+D
Day 7: Drive to “Amarbayasgalant” monastery
After having breakfast, we will drive to Amarbayasgalant monastery, which is the second-largest monastery in Mongolia, is located in the beautiful Iven river valley on the foot of Burenkhaan mountain in Baruunburen village of Selenge province. This is one of the few monasteries in Mongolia, which survived mostly intact the purges of the 1930`s. The beauty, decorations, and construction of the monastery have made it one of the most magnificent architectural monuments in Mongolia. 1990 was the time when the circumstances came for Amarbayasgalant to be restored. Communism had fallen and the people were eager to revive their religious tradition. Amarbayasgalant was reestablished now and nowadays stands strong on its remarkable construction, as on its 300 years of history.We will stay overnight in Ger tourist camp. B+L+D
Day 8: Drive to “Aglag Buteel” Monastery
A comfortable journey to the monastery can be an ideal escape from your busy work routine. Experience Mongolia’s renowned Buddhist lama and artist Purevbat’s Aglag Buteel monastery. Enjoy a walking tour around the monastery and explore its rich heritage.Overnight in a comfortable Ger tourist camp of the Secret History of Mongolia…. B+L+D
Day 9: Drive back to Ulaanbaatar city. A farewell dinner and overnight in the hotel. (B+L+D)
Day 10: Departure flight. (B).
