Besides national air carrier – MIAT Mongolian airlines, there are numerous other domestic airlines such as Aero Mongolia, EZNIS Airways, and Hunnu Air that operate within Mongolia. Currently, the air fleet of national Mongolian airlines consists of Boeing 767-300, Boeing 737-800, and Fokker-50 types of aircraft.
By train
Mongolia has a railway connecting both Russia and China. You can catch the either Trans Siberian train from Russia (Moscow, Irkutsk, or any other major stations) or china (Erlian and Beijing). Getting a ticket in Ulaanbaatar can be very difficult during the summer season, so you need to plan well ahead.
International railway ticketing office sells tickets to Irkutsk and Moscow (Russia), and Beijing, Erlian, and Huhhut (china).
